Plastic Machining

Custom Plastic Machined Parts

Plastics are so prevalent and they’re a malleable and adaptable family of materials that can be used to create a wide variety of part types, from soft and flexible components that can withstand repetitive movements to harder, impact-resistant pieces that remain durable even in extreme temperatures.

For most plastic parts, a CNC machined prototype will provide exactly what is needed for testing. CNC machining allows you to test the form, fit and function of injection molded parts without having to produce injection mold tooling. The CNC machining process is ideal if you need between 1–100 pieces, so it may be the most cost-effective route for your budget.

Acetal

Acrylic

ABS

A versatile low-cost plastic, suitable for parts require tight tolerances, high mechanical strength and rigidity. It has good dimensional stability and chemical resistance, making it long-wearing. it has a very low moisture absorption rate, making it suitable for use in wet environments. Acrylic is a popular thermoplastic, transparent plastic material with outstanding strength, stiffness, and optical clarity. it is often used as an alternative to glass. This plastic is electrically insulative and is highly resistant to abrasion, UV light, and corrosion. ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) is an amorphous, highly resistant to impact, heat, moisture, acids, alkalis, alcohols, and oils, opaque thermoplastic that is widely used in electronic housings, auto parts, consumer products, pipe fittings, lego toys and many more. Due to its high tensile strength and lack of a true melting point, ABS is ideal for injection molding applications.

PEEK

PTFE

PE(Polyethylene)

PEEK(Polyether ether ketone)is a popular high strength plastic resin, ideal for parts that require strength and stiffness. It has an extremely high resistance to heat, moisture, and chemicals.Keep excellent mechanical properties at high-temperature (up to 500° F) and ultra-high vacuum environments. It is used typically as a replacement for machined metals in a wide variety of high performance end-use applications
PTFE (more commonly known as Teflon) is high density and has excellent resistant to high temperatures, frictional wear, weathering, flame, heat, chemical, and radiation. Moreover it's an extremely resilient plastic, ideal for screw machine parts that require high impact strength and durability. Very low moisture absorption rate, suitable for use in wet environments Has cold working and deep drawing properties, and allows for severe cold deformations due to high ductility. Applications include radiator cores, electrical components, lamp fixturestanks, flashlight shells

PP(Polypropylene)

PC(Polycarbonate)

PS(Polystyrene)

Electrical and thermal conductivity, High corrosion resistance.110 Copper can be soldered with good results. It is the most expensive out of the 101-110 group because of it's composition, 99.99% pure copper with 0.0005% oxygen. perfect for electronic applications plumbing fittings, electrical components, waveguides, base plates, electron tubes etc. An oxygen-free copper which has better forming, resistance to hydrogen embrittlement, and brazing characteristics than C110 ETP. Copper 102 is ductile and has high electrical and thermal conductivity, has good solder-ability and corrosion resistance and is used for high current applications. Known as electrolytic tough pitch (ETP) copper. An extremely popular copper alloy, with a wide range of applications due to its high corrosion resistance, conductivity, and finish.has a poor machinability rating of 20%. Used in transformers, electrical contacts, fittings, power transmission components etc.
